Ameenah and Ibraheem's Hajj Hunt

Ameenah and Ibraheem's Hajj Hunt

Almost 9 years ago, I organised and conducted a treasure hunt at a children's Craft Hajj party. With the limited time and resources I had, I  managed to create Hajj clues and have some small Hajj props. Both children and parents had a blast!

I've currently updated (May 2024) these clues to follow our Hajj resources we have been using over the past few years. These clues are designed for children who are 6 years + and who understand Hajj rituals.

You will need:

  • Printable Clues (DOWNLOAD HERE)
  • Scissors
  • Envelopes
  • Props: These can be either crafted, printed on paper or created with objects. You need: The Ka’bah (Tawaf), Tents (Mina), Mat and pebbles (Muzdalifah), 3 Pillars (Jamarat), Mount Arafat, Mount Safa and Mount Marwah (Sa’ee), Udhiyah sacrifice and a barber station.
  • Gift bag with something inside.

1. Print and then cut the clues, and place them in envelopes.

2. Set up your props in a large space.

3. Place clues at these props:

  • Clue 1: Hand this out to the children when the search begins.
  • Clue 2: Place at the Ka’bah Clue
  • 3: Place at Mina
  • Clue 4: Place at Mount Arafat
  • Clue 5: Place at Muzdalifa
  • Clue 6: Place at Jamarat
  • Clue 7: Place at Udhiya
  • Clue 8: Place at the Ka’bah.
  • Clue 9: Place at Sa’ee (Mount Safa and Mount Marwah)
  • Final Note: Place at Jamarat (with the missing gift bag)

4. Read the story out to the children and then hand out their first clue.

Now grab yourself tea and let the children have an amazing experience!
